The ‘Geeta Vaidik Gram’ school in Magod near Valsad is a rare blend of tradition and modernity. This school was set up primarily to promote value-based education and awaken in the children and the youth of the country interest in India’s heritage and tradition. Its medium of instruction is Sanskrit while its syllabus is as contemporary and comparable to other schools.
A new, 16,000 sq. ft. school building was constructed by the Trust and inaugurated by Mr. A.M. Naik and his family on January 3, 2017. Modern amenities at the school include computer centers, laboratories, and a library.
The Trust also constructed accommodation for the faculty (called ‘Acharyas’) and a hostel for around 225 students. Since the school attracts students from different states in the country, the light of India’s ancient scriptures is certain to be carried across our land.
The Geeta Vaidik Gram is committed to providing value-based education for successive generations of students. “Education should have a strong spiritual and cultural foundation,” says Mr. Naik. “Along with imparting knowledge about science and the humanities, we also need to instil values in our children.”
