A pilot project to enhance the teaching skills of English teachers was run at the Anil Naik Technical Training Centre (ANTTC), Kharel. The programme ran for 17 days in December 2020. It was attended by Secondary School level English teachers from Government Schools connected with the Vidya project along with 12 members of the ANTTC staff.

The teachers’ oral and written communication skills were assessed through a structured assessment procedure. Subjects covered during the programme included basic vocabulary, essential grammar, LSWR (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing ), innovative methods of teaching, soft and digital skills. After the training sessions, a post-training assessment was carried out to evaluate further areas of improvement for each participant.
