Vice President of India Lays Foundation Stone for Nirali Multi-Specialty Hospital in Navsari
The Vice President of India, Shri Venkaiah Naidu laid the foundation stone for the Nirali Multi-Specialty Hospital in Navsari near Surat on 5th March 2021. Addressing a large audience at the inauguration function, Shri Naidu complimented Mr. A.M. Naik for his philanthropy and his vision that is making a difference in the lives of the needy and the disadvantaged. “This multi-specialty hospital,” the Vice President said, “and the adjoining Cancer Hospital which forms part of the A.M. Naik Healthcare Campus is a pathbreaking initiative in catering to the healthcare needs of the people of this region.” Shri Naidu urged the audience to accept the benefits of modern technology without abandoning the ancient wisdom of our land.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Naik said: “This Multi-Specialty Hospital is another expression of the tradition of community service that has always been a part of my family tradition. While the inspiration came from my father and grandfather, the direction towards healthcare came from my granddaughter. I am honored that I could use some of my time, energy, and wealth for the betterment of the needy by creating healthcare and education infrastructure in my janmabhoomi.”
Mr. Jignesh Naik, a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Nirali Memorial Medical Trust which owns and manages the hospital, welcomed guests at the function. Mr. Y.S. Trivedi, Advisor to the Group Chairman, L&T proposed the vote of thanks.
The Nirali Multi-Specialty Hospital will be operated by the widely-known and respected Apollo CBCC Group. While Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, Chairman of the Apollo Hospitals, could not be present at the inauguration, he and his family conveyed their best wishes. The hospital is located on NH 48, just 45 km from Surat Airport. It is part of the 8-acre A.M. Naik Healthcare Complex which includes a Cancer Hospital and accommodation for nurses and paramedical staff.
